Pretreatment Improvements

Provided contract administration, field documentation, and inspection for new pretreatment facility improvements. The upgrades provided an increase to 24 MGD for a surface water treatment facility. Improvements included two treatment trains, precast walls and roof, grit collection, mixing basins, lamella plate settlers, sludge handling system, sludge pumps and associated controls and chemical application systems. Additionally, a new and ungraded freight elevator was installed.

This project presented many challenges including several scope changes, budgeting overruns, and COVID-19 protocols and resulting delays of material deliveries.
